Green Door’s Complaints and Resolutions Procedure

Green Door is committed to handling any complaints received or disputes arising in a fair, professional and prompt manner.

Our in-house procedure is as follows:

In the first instance, any client or customer who feels the need to make a complaint should notify the salesperson concerned.

If the complainant is not satisfied with the salesperson's response, the complainant should contact the manager (and/or owner) of the relevant office.

Should the complainant not be satisfied at the outcome at this stage, then the complainant may make their complaint known in writing to the Principal Franchisor (Green Door Real Estate Ltd) at Green Door’s Head Office: PO Box 14, Nelson.

The franchisor will respond to the complainant following its review of the circumstances surrounding the complaint made.
If the complainant is not satisfied with the outcome, the franchisor will suggest a further course of action.

Please note: If a complaint pertains to Green Door's separate licensed real estate company, Good Deal Real Estate Ltd (Licensed: REAA 2008), clients and customers may access the REAA’s complaints process without first using our in-house complaints process. Equally, any use made of Good Deal Real Estate's in-house procedure does not preclude a complainant from also taking their complaint to the Authority.

Please note that the private sales division of Green Door (Green Door Private Sales Ltd) sells marketing packages only designed to help vendors sell without the assistance of a licensed real estate agent. No private sales customer is engaging the professional services of Green Door’s separate licensed real estate agent company, Good Deal Real Estate Ltd (Licensed: REAA 2008) – a member of Green Door Real Estate.

It is recommended that purchasers and vendors always take independent legal advice in all matters relating to the buying and selling of real estate.
